An arched mouthpiece is a straight mouthpiece that is slightly bent. This mouthpiece exerts even pressure on the complete tongue. An arched mouthpiece has a sharper effect than a jointed or elliptical mouthpiece. The sweet iron bits are made of steel and have a recognizable blue color. Due to contact with (air)moisture, Sweet Iron creates a rustfilm on the surface which has a sweet taste. As a result, the bit naturally encourages saliva production, which leads to more chewing activity and more foam will be built up and thus an overall better acceptance of the bit.
Due to the contagious nature of the equine disease EHV 1 and in accordance to biosecurity measures suggested by the American Association of Equine Practitioners we are unable to accept returns on bits.
